Description:
Join us in this free introductory workshop where we will explore the basic materials and techniques to make a collage. In this first journey of the series you will get a taste of how we approach the art-making process from a Depth Psychological view. You will be guided and invited to experience your creativity as an alchemical undertaking, where the engagement with and transformation of ready-made images/objects open a very unique portal to your inner knowing and creative self.
Although attendance to this workshop is not required, it is highly recommended if you wish to participate in the other workshops of the series.
*Classes will be recorded for later viewing.
Required materials:
A notebook/journal, pen/pencil, a variety of magazines and/or newspaper, scissors, glue stick, a flat surface (sheet of cardboard or paper).
Optional: other art materials or found objects you would like to work with.

Psychology and art are my favorite blend. As a Jungian-oriented scholar and facilitator, I have dedicated myself since the year 2014 to the research, design, and implementation of expressive and self-knowledge methodologies, especially through the technique of collage. Since then, the transformative results of these methods have continued to amaze and inspire me. After some years working in organizations providing psychosocial support in different territories of my homeland, Colombia, I decided to take a new path and create Joy Collage, the project where I currently lead my personal mentoring practice and teach collage workshops on vocation, inner work, and the creative life.
